Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your purchase. If something is not quite right, we are here to help. Our return and exchange process is simple, clear, and designed to make things as easy as possible.
Returns at a Glance
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
Returned merchandise must arrive at Painted Cowgirl Western Store within 30 calendar days of the original delivery date.
Items must be:
- New and unworn
- In original condition
- Free from damage, odors, smoke, pet hair, makeup, deodorant marks, or dirt.
- Free from any signs of wear
- Returned with all original tags attached
- Returned with the original product box or packaging when applicable
Customers are responsible for shipping costs of returned merchandise back to Painted Cowgirl Western Store.
Your first exchange shipment back to you is free. Western hats are excluded from free exchange shipping.
Approved refunds are issued to the original method of payment after the return has been received and inspected.
Return Eligibility
Items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the original delivery date, provided they meet all return requirements.
Returned items must be:
- Unworn and in like-new condition
- Returned with original tags attached
- Returned with the original product box or packaging when applicable
- Unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged
- Free from odors, smoke, pet hair, makeup, deodorant marks, dirt, or other signs of wear
- Received by Painted Cowgirl Western Store within the 30-day return period
- Try on boots and shoes indoors on a clean surface before deciding to keep them.
- Footwear returned with signs of outdoor wear cannot be accepted.
A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.

Before sending your return, please make sure:
- The item is unworn and in new condition
- Original tags are attached
- Original packaging is included
- The Merchandise Return Form is enclosed
- Your package is shipped early enough to arrive within 30 days of delivery

Prefer to Use Our Discounted UPS Shipping Rate?
Email us at orders@paintedcowgirlwesternstore.com, and we will send you a prepaid UPS shipping label.
The cost of the label will be deducted from your refund.
For boots and shoes, do not use the manufacturer’s boot box as the shipping box. Place the boot box inside another shipping carton to protect the original packaging.
For returns valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned packages.
Exchanges
Need a different size or style?
Please contact us before sending your return so we can help reserve your replacement item, if available.

Customers are responsible for shipping the original item back to us.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process the exchange and ship your replacement item.
Your first exchange shipment back to you is free. Western hats are excluded from free exchange shipping.
If your requested replacement item is no longer available, we will contact you to discuss available options or issue a refund.
Please allow 3 to 5 business days for exchange processing after your return has been received and approved.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of its approval status.
If approved, your refund will be issued to the original method of payment.
Please allow 3 to 5 business days for us to inspect and process your return after it arrives. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, refunds may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to appear in your account.
Returns that meet all eligibility requirements will receive a refund for the purchase price of the returned merchandise.
Original shipping charges and expedited shipping fees are non-refundable.
Merchandise that does not meet our return requirements may be refused. In some cases, Painted Cowgirl Western Store may choose to accept the return and deduct a restocking fee of up to 20% for inspection, processing, cleaning, or repackaging.
Missing Your Refund?
If you have not received your refund:
- Check your bank account.
- Contact your credit card company, as refunds can take time to post.
- Contact your bank, as additional processing time may be required.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for shipping returned merchandise back to us.
We cover the shipping cost for your first exchange shipment back to you. Western hats are excluded from free exchange shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Packages refused or returned to sender may be subject to the original shipping charges incurred by Painted Cowgirl Western Store.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please include photos of:
- The item received
- The shipping box
- Any damaged packaging
- The shipping label

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Gift cards
- Perfume and cologne
- Boxer briefs
- Clearance merchandise
- Final sale merchandise
