Returns & Eligibility
Returns and Exchanges must be received within 30 days. The return period spans from the day the product is received by the customer until the day Painted Cowgirl receives the item back in store. Merchandise may be returned in perfect, like-new condition within this 30-day period. Items must be returned in their original box and/or packaging, with tags attached, and must not have been worn, laundered, or altered in any way.
To complete your return, you must fill out a Merchandise Return Form. A form is included in your original package, but if it’s missing, you can download a new copy here. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and if you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted.
Holiday Shopping Extended Return Policy
To make holiday shopping easier, returns and exchanges for orders placed between November 10, 2025 and December 15, 2025, will be accepted up to 60 days from the date of purchase. This extended return window allows you more flexibility to shop gifts with confidence. All other return requirements still apply: items must be in perfect, like-new condition, with tags attached, in original packaging, and must not be worn, laundered, or altered.
Shipping Your Return / Exchange
Depending on your location, the time it may take for an exchanged product to reach you may vary. For items over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
When returning boots or shoes in a box, please ship them in a way that protects the original packaging. Indicate on the Merchandise Return Form if you are requesting an exchange and what item or size you would like.
Refunds & Exchanges
Once your return is received and inspected, if approved, your refund will be processed and applied to your original method of payment. Processing time may vary depending on your bank.
Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time for the refund to post. If you’ve done this and still haven’t received your refund, contact us at info@paintedcowgirlwesternstore.com.

The shipping cost to return the item is the buyer’s responsibility. Painted Cowgirl will ship your exchange item back for free.
Return / Exchange Options: You may choose either a refund or an exchange. For refunds, a 10% restocking fee may apply if the item is not in original condition or was damaged in shipping. For exchanges, your first exchange shipment is free.

To complete any return or exchange, a receipt or proof of purchase is required. Please do not send purchases back to the manufacturer.

Yes, you can return qualified purchases, minus the shipping charges, with 30 days of initial delivery
Merchandise returned within 30 days in perfect, like-new condition. The 30 day return period spans from the day the product is received by customer until the day the item is postmarked for return to the Painted Cowgirl Western Store.
To be eligible for a return, products must be returned in the condition you received them and in the original box and/or packaging. Product(s) must have original tags and must not have been worn, laundered, or altered from its original condition. If you are returning boots or shoes that are in a box, they must be in a shipping box or wrapped to prevent damage to original box packaging. We reserve the right to refuse any return or exchanges that do not meet these requirements. If original footwear boxes are damaged a restocking fee up to 20% may occur.
*When trying on boots be sure to walk only on carpeted areas until you are sure that your boots fit correctly to avoid any scuffing on the soles. Boots scuffs or damage to the sole are non-returnable.

you can request a shipping label from us at our UPS discounted rate. You can contact us at orders@paintecowgirlwesternstore.com to request this label. We will email you a shipping label that you can print and affix to your return.
1. Once your return is received and inspected, if approved your refund will be processed minus the amount of our shipping label (if you chose to use ours).
∙Please allow 3 business days from the receipt of your return to be processed.
1. You will receive a confirmation email once your return has been processed. Original shipping charges are not included in refunds.
Once the return is processed, the original credit card/gift card will be automatically refunded. If you receive a confirmation email from us but have not received your funds, please check with your bank or credit card company this can vary based on your bank’s processing times.

If you are shipping an item over $75, and not using our label we highly recommend a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot assist you with lost return shipments unless a tracking number has been assigned to the shipment. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during a return shipping.
Yes, exchanges must meet the same requirements as a return. However, due to our quickly changing inventory, we can not always promise an exact exchange.

All of our shipments include tracking with delivery confirmation. When your purchase ships you will receive an email with your tracking number. Painted Cowgirl is not liable for packages that are lost or stolen and will not refund these items. If there is a problem with your tracking number or package delivery, please contact the courier directly prior to contacting us.

We are not responsible for delay in shipping due to the carrier or be held liable for USPS and UPS guarantees, if the item is not delivered in time, please contact the carrier directly. We will not refund additional shipping charges if they fail to meet their guaranteed shipping times.
Wrong Address Disclaimer:
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that she or he enters the shipping address correctly. We are not responsible if a package is shipped back to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address. We do our best to process our orders quickly, hence there is a very small time gap to cancel or change your order. IF you need to make any changes please call us immediately at (419) 752-3090 or if it is after hours orders@paintedcowgirlwesternstore.com. We will do our best to make changes, however we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. If our shipping staff contacts you regarding an incorrect address and a reply is not received within 24 hours, the order will be canceled and refunded.
Missing or incorrect merchandise needs to be reported within 14 days of delivery or intended delivery so that we can accurately file a claim or rectify the issue. Painted Cowgirl will pay for shipping mistakes.
If you receive a defective item, please follow these steps:
1. Take a picture of the defective or damaged area and email the images to orders@paintedcowgirlwesternstore.com,
include the tag in the image showing it is still attached.
2. Indicate “Damaged” or “Defective” in the subject line.
3. Include your first and last name that the order was placed under, the order number and the product name or number.
You will receive a response from our support team within 24 hours.
